Las arañas vasculares son venas dilatadas apreciables a la vista ya que se encuentran en la parte superior de la piel. Tienen un aspecto más pequeño y son uno de los problemas estéticos que más nos preocupan.
Las arañas vasculares suelen dejarse ver en cualquier zona del cuerpo, pero en las piernas son donde suelen aparecer más y manifestarse de manera más pronunciada. Aparecen en la parte superior del muslo, inmediatamente debajo de la articulación de la rodilla y en la zona de los tobillos. En el rostro aparecen en zonas como la nariz y los pómulos.
La diferencia que existe entre varices y arañas vasculares radica en su tamaño.
